Sweet and crunchy granola mix which is filled with a lot of almond and cinnamon flavours. This is the easiest way to start a healthy habit which is homemade.
I am a little obsessed and attached with granola. I can't get enough of it. Homemade granola you may think as a tough job to make but believe me its the easiest thing in the world. You don't need any extra effort and can be baked in a single bowl.
How to eat this?
Well, I find its best as a munching snack for the evening. But you can also have it at breakfast. Top it with some greek yoghurt and fresh fruits and you are good to go. If you have any other way to eat this then do let me know the comments..
What makes this the best granola?
I simply love the vanilla flavour when combined with almond. Addition of cinnamon and nutmeg adds a freshness to the overall taste. With so many tastes it's still so light and tasty. My husband also find it a go-to snack for him.
200g old fashioned rolled oats
120 g sliced almonds
1/4 tsp cinnamon powder
pinch of nutmeg powder(optional)
pinch of salt
1/2 cup(100 g) honey
1/4 cup (60 ml) groundnut oil(or vegetable oil)
few drops of almond extract(optional)
1 tsp vanilla essence
Preheat oven to 150°c for 10 min. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
In a big bowl mix honey, almond extract, vanilla essence and oil until mixed well. Now toss in oats, almonds, cinnamon, nutmeg powder and salt. Make sure all of the oats are moistened.
Spread onto the baking sheet and bake for 45 min, string in every 15 min. Cool down completely before storing in an air tight container.
