One Bowl Best Fudgy Walnut Brownie

Updated: Jun 26, 2020

This is a delicious, fudgy and yummy brownie recipe. This recipe can be prepared in just one bowl. Once you give this recipe a try it will become your Go-To brownie recipe. We will be preparing this recipe completely from scratch. I bet once you taste this you won't go back to the box mix ever!!!

What I love the most in desserts is the brownie. Combination of a hot cup of coffee with a piece of brownie is my all-time favourite. No other dessert can beat this combination. I am pretty sure you must have tried this in your favourite cafe but what about a hot coffee with the homemade brownie. This is the best recipe for a fudgy brownie. The best part about it is you can make this recipe in just 1 bowl and using your hands only. There is no need for any special equipment. I guarantee they will be a family favourite dessert.

To make a great brownie you need to follow some instruction. These instructions will help you in reaching your desired result.

Tips & Tricks:

  1. Butter: Whenever you bake, you should always use the best quality ingredients only. In this case, butter and chocolate play a very important role in taste. So I am using Amul's salted butter. Yes, you can use unsalted butter also but then you have to adjust the amount of salt in the recipe. As salt always enhances the baked item's taste.

  2. Chocolate: Chocolate is the base for this recipe. I am using Morde Dark Compound in the recipe. Always use dark chocolate not the milk or white chocolate. Your chocolate should be soft enough to cut into small pieces otherwise they will take longer to melt.

  3. Eggs: This recipe calls for 3 eggs. I always crack eggs in a small bowl and then add in the mixture otherwise you may get some skin in the batter. If your eggs are at room temp they will mix with the batter easily.

  4. Extra Chocolate Chips: Well this step is completely optional but I loaded the inside of these brownies with mini chocolate chips for an extra chocolatey flavour.

  5. Cocoa Powder: Although this is a chocolate brownie so I am relying on the chocolate taste mostly but cocoa powder enhances the overall chocolate taste. Always use unsweetened cocoa powder because if you will use the sweetened version you have to adjust the quantity of sugar in the recipe.

Ingredients:

  1. 1/2 cup (113 g) butter

  2. 150 g dark chocolate chopped into pieces

  3. 3/4 cups (150g) granulated sugar

  4. 3 large eggs, at room temperature

  5. 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

  6. 2 tbsp (30 g) cocoa powder

  7. 3/4 cup (95g) all-purpose flour

  8. 100 g chopped walnuts

  9. 1/2 tsp salt

  10. 100 g chocolate chips or chopped chocolate

Recipe:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease an 8×8 inch pan or line with aluminium foil or parchment paper. Set aside.

  2. Either using a double boiler or microwave method melt the butter and chopped chocolate. If using microwave melt in 30-second increments, whisking after each, until completely smooth. Now mix sugar in the chocolate-butter mixture. This helps in reducing the overall temperature of the mix. Now whisk in the eggs one by one and vanilla. Beat the mixture for approx 2-3 minutes. The batter should become light and fluffy at this stage.

  3. Add the flour, cocoa powder and salt. Fold it all together with a spatula. Spread batter evenly into prepared pan.

  4. Bake the brownie for 30 min. Insert a toothpick in the middle, if it comes out with wet batter, the brownies are not done but if it comes out with few moist crumbs, then brownies are done.

Happy Baking!!!!!
