Easy Whole Wheat Pancakes in 5 minutes

Isn't breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Do we really have time for it??? Even in our busy schedule we all want the best or somewhere close. Well I present to you a quick and amazing option Whole Wheat flour Pancakes. I am sure your family and friends will love it.

These Pancakes (as in the name) are made from 100% whole wheat flour and they are delicious. They are especially perfect for kids. So give them a try I am sure you will love them.

Typically pancakes can be eaten with fresh fruits, maple syrup and/or whipped cream. Along with fresh fruits, you could replace maple syrup with honey and whipped cream with yogurt(not curd) as per your taste. My recommendation is to use the best greek yogurt that will make a whole lot of difference.

  1. 3/4 cup whole wheat flour

  2. 1 tsp baking powder

  3. 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder

  4. 2 tbsp granulated sugar

  5. 1 whole egg

  6. 1/2 cup room temperature milk

  7. 2 tbsp melted butter

  8. 1/4 tsp salt

  9. 1/2 tsp vanilla essence


  1. In a bowl whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, sugar and salt.

  2. In a separate bowl whisk milk, egg and vanilla essence.

  3. Now pour wet ingredients into dry and mix using a spatula with very light hands. You should mix the batter until you stop seeing the dry parts.

  4. Now add butter and fold it.

  5. Keep the batter aside for 10-15 min. Let the flavours blend well.

  6. To make the pancakes, use a flat pan on stove and heat it on medium flame for 3-4 min. Now before pouring the batter onto pan switch the flame low. Apply oil using brush and then clean it with a napkin or kitchen towel. Now using an ice cream scoop or a ladle pour some batter and let it cook for 3-4 min on one side. After a min or two you will start seeing small small bubbles on top. This is a sign that your pancakes are cooking from inside. Then flip it using a spatula carefully and let it cook for 2 more min.

To plate, make a stack using 4-5 pancakes, add some fresh fruits and drizzle some honey/maple syrup over them. Now add a dollop of yogurt/whipped cream. Your healthy and delicious pancakes are ready. Enjoy!!!!
